The Trusted Software Alliance is completing its survey, “Developers and Application Security: Who is Responsible?“. The survey is an industry wide initiative with co-sponsors Cigital, DevOps Days, DevOps Weekly, Sonatype, DevOps Cafe and HP.
This phase of the study closes on Friday, February 7. The preliminary results are in and here are some things we have found that you might find interesting:
- 40% of the responders have 10+ years experience
- 39.68% have no security team in their company
- 57.95 use Java as their primary language for development
- 43% of the developers recognize that security is important but just don’t have the time to spend on it
